Is there anyway to make my headlights not flash when I lock and unlock my 01 Z24?

go to a dealer and have them turn it off in the personalization menu with a tech II

Is this the only way to do this? How bout for an 04?
I just installed HID's, and was told by a friend (who was told by someone else) that your not really supposed to use the remote because of the headlight flash and that it will burn out the bulbs faster (is this true?). I just want to make sure i'm not causing more problems for myself with this one.

It will cause them to die faster yes, when you flash the headlights, it thinks it needs to fire the bulbs back up again (even for a split second) so if you have been driving around with the lights on, they are already warm, and when you get out you shut them off. So when you lock it, it shoots 10, 000 volts twice through already warmed up bulbs, which is very bad.

Alright kool thanks, what about disabling the flash, the only way is the dealership?
