I was wondering about something. I going to be using a sparco style fuel door and was wonderin if i would still need the screw on cap for it or could i just use the funnel they sell for it? I remember something about if the fuel cap isn't on the car wont start or something?
so anyone know if you have to keep the stock screw on cap or could i just use the sparco funnel and hook the hose to that?
you need a cap on there that seals right or else you will get a CEL
thats what i thought thanks
Yea, you'd have to keep the spinning cap on there. The spinning cap seals it off. Since most cars have pressurized fuel system, it won't read right and you'll get an engine light.
How do people use the Sparco fuel door with the stock spinnin cap? the fuel door openin on a sparco is 2" and the cap is arond 3". Can anyone with one or anyone know who they do it?
