Man I haven't posted on here in a really long time.....
Anyway's, I need a new LS Sport front bumper. Nothing aftermarket, just a replacement that I can paint and put on the car, because she is getting sold for a Cobalt SS/SC in a month. Would a regular LS Base bumper work as long as I can put the lip on ( I know you have to make some little cuts for it to work ) and cut out the little slats for the foglights? Or do I really have to pick up a replacement LS Sport unit?

any 03-05 front bumper will fit without modification. you dont have to put the lip on unless it has a lip all around and u just want it to match.
the LS sport front bumper isn't a base bumper with a lip kit, it's actually the whole bumper that's different

Are you sure the LS Sport front bumper is different, or is the lip just added onto a base model bumper?
Any ideas where I can find a LS Sport Front bumper then?

the 03-05 ls sport bumper is a whole different bumper and the lip is molded in.
Rich, I've been looking for a new front bumper since the wife ran into a granite block with my car...and the ONLY place that I know of to get one is the dealer or a junk yard. I was unable to find out for a good enough price not to warrent just getting a body kit. I've seen unpainted base model bumpers from anywhere up to 400 bucks! how bad is the bumper on there now? if the damage is minimual the dealer might take less off the trade in than the cost of replaceing it yourself. Call your local dealer and ask how much one is...it's expensive!

I have a base model bumper thast just hanging out on my balcony of my apartment since i did the cavfire swap... but then again shipping would be a pain =-x... But that would be up to you. Its not in perfect condition (it has a small crack on the bottom near the right hand side. But figured i'd throw it out there to ya. Its Olympic white btw. Peace
