Installing Front Cavy Lip

I picked up a GM Ftonr lip finally

Question is my 2000 Z doesnt have the proper slits in the bumper

I was wondering what you guys have done to install these lips?

My car is lowered with Sportlines and AGX's so if possible id like to be able to remove the lip when needed if i can

Any suggestions

Thanks guys

Well really it is as simple as you put the lip up to the bumper and cut some slits in there to let the tabs go in. The GM clips that hold those up are like 3-5 bucks each. Most people since the clips somes fall out they JB weld them on, or put something eles on them to help hold them on.

remove the bumper from the car. flip it upside down. Line up the lip where it fits best. Mark where the tabs are, and make the slits. On mine, I then used a heat gun, or other heat source, and melted the tabs down. The lip held on great for a long time (even after I traded the bumper ) Never had a problem with it, even lowered on DropZone springs, and running around in WI winter.

I understand cutting slits and that whole part of the deal, my problem is the ends of the lip. Dont know if these pics will help any.

Well why dont you just break all the clips off and then line up the hole from the lip with the one on the bumper. Then drill holes in both and use zip ties to hold it onto the car. This way you can cut the zip ties when you want to take it off.......Thats what I might do I haven't taken my front off yeat to see how verything is going to line up.

i got no tabs on my front lip, ive got 2 screws in the fender wells, and 2 bolts in the middle holding it (had 4, but 2 of them came loose when i scraped, also some epoxy where the bumper curves so it stays flush.
