Just a heads up, the piece has cause my tail lights to get water in them. And I have tried two sets of tail lights and on both ones the driver side inner tail light leaks. The big inner bezel piece doesn't really fit that well and that is obviously causing the leaking problem (seeing as the tail lights had never leaked on their previous owner's cars). The water must be going behind the bezel and getting through the back of the tail light.
The piece looks amazing, but having a tail light almost half way filled with water every time I get a carwash or it gets rained on doesn't look so good. I am done with putting up with it; I am going to put the stock tails/bezel back on right now. So I am selling the bezel (along with outer tail light pieces) and one full set of '02 stock tails, and one set of '02 stock tails (inners only) if anyone is interested at all (just pm me with any kind of offers). Just lettin people lookin at buying this piece know it could cause problems. However, if you still want to get it, buy mine lol.
Ohhh crap; never installed mine yet, but i do not like the sounds of this.......
So basically the guys with the cavys with the 95-02 lid are fine because they DO not have a factory bezel, there for the cf bezel just sticks to their trunk, and the guys like you and myself with a j-body that has a oem bezel and are replacing it with this cg bezel will have water problems since we have holes through our lid now...........I know i had asked josh about this bezel since he has it one his 4door fire and that is what i am putting it one and he never ever had any leaking issues, i hope i am fine; i am going to silicone my holes in where my oem bezel was, and if that dont work and i get water in i will have to get a cavy lid........

Terry, you are exactly correct when you say that we have to go trunk-bezel-tail light and the older models just go trunk-tail light and that is why it is able to seal up completely. Somehow water was going behind my bezel and bypassing the tail light weather stripping/insulation; idk how really?? But yeah, do all you can to keep that water out. And another warning: the stock bezel is about 10x harder to put back in after being taken out. We ran into a ton of problems making the re-install of the stock one probly close to 5 hours straight. Ughhh, I just hope my stock one doesn't leak because of all the problems we ran into...
Honestly, I like the look of the stock one with all the red on black. And with all the problems I wish I would have never even thought about getting the bezel in the first place. Now when I go S/C this summer, my car will be even more of a sleeper than I have plans for....

i also have no problems and i dont even have the adhesive on the back to hold it tight against the trunk.
I've got this on my 05 for a little over a year now and not problems at all....
Reseal your tail lights. You never know. The other tail light you put in might have been getting water in it also.
I put my stock one back in yesterday, I just got sick of dealing with it. I am trying to sell it and have a classified ad for it right now if anyone is interested...
hmmm...had one on my 04 for 2+ years and no water problems.

sounds as if it was the taillight itself causing this issue. if you were able to put the stock one in and it is fine now, then it must have been the aftermarket light. if you put the bulb into the taillight, you may submerge it under water, and there should not be any leakage as long as the taillight is properly sealed. the bezel would not have anything to do with this to have that happen.

Hey ATK2008, (SORRY CAN NOT REMEMBER YOUR NAME) I spoke with you before, what year is your cavy, i am assuming 03-05 according to the pic in your siggy......
I have a 98 sunfire, so my oem bezel will be coming off, filling in the holes with silicone, and putting in the cavy inners, i already have the cavy outers in, no problems with them........
I HOPE i have better luck with the bezel then you did, if i do have problems i will be so mad, i would have just bought the cf trunk lid......
I WILL find out how mine goes in a few weeks, will be installing it easter weekend along with putting my cf hood back on........

Terry, I have a 2004 LS Sport. I hope you have better luck than me too. And who knows, maybe I just had two sets of bad inner tail lights that leaked? Idk, but honestly I am happy I decided to go back to stock. Fits with no leaks and looks good/stock imo. My name is Anthony btw lol. Good luck
Yeah, that bezel cant cause water to get into the tail light, it had to be the tail light itself.

Yeah I got rid of my cf bezel a long time ago lol, went back to stock and haven't had any problem so they are staying
