Hi
i have a shaved trunk...and i dont have any reverse light on my car...so i would like to know if it exist OUTTER TAILLIGHT (like apc, toyoto cavalier, etc) that have 2 socket to put light into the outter taillight?
thanks!
sry for my badf english!
pretty much anyone with shaved inners goes without reverse lights...i do the same. some have came up with a way to still have reverse lights. just by looking, no one would even know, but durring inspection is when you would have an issue
Who needs them. Im always moving forward in life!
i got a @!#$ inspection last year...i needed to buy a new trunk...

wow, great quote/timing!!
your best bet would probably be to grab a set of the revers lights from a sunfire and either put them in the lid, or the back bumper like on the fires
that's what i think....but toyota cavalier outter light dont have 2 socket ?
not positive bout the yota's....im sure someone can answer that, but regardless....you'd still be shooting light into a red reflector, making it red.
unless you wanna try opening the tails up to take out a reflector, but ithats an expensive set of tails to be modifying by chance.
mold a set of fire reverse lights where the inners used to be i think it would look bitchin. ok so my 1 min shop looks like crap but it would look better than that
03 Sunfire - Sold.
just swap out the shaved trunk lid with one with tail lights for inspection and then swap it back ?
Thanks

^^ not a fan. purpose of a shaved lid is to get rid of it not to change the look of it the lights.
when i had a shaved lid i never ran reverse lights. i had a stock lid that i swapped on for inspections
you can put some little like fog lights the rectangle ones at the bottom of the bumper they will kinda be smooth looking idk though just an idea
a local guy here had a nice idea, had a set of small sidemarkers with clear bulbs, then mounted them on the bottom of the outers, ran the wiring through the light itself so it was clean, looked good and still had reverse lights
what some do is just wire up white LED's in the license plate screws ...gives off enough light to see where ya go(unless ur windows are tinted
)
if ya have a body kit n it has a notch in it id say run sum retangualr led's behind the mesh where the cut out is on the body kit n u got urself a hidden but legal rev light set up
there are some cavi tail lights that have to two sockets in the outer light. i had them on my 97 but i grabbed them from a junker and wasn't really sure what year they were.
i dont use 'em

the cavy's that had the outr lights with 2 sockets was the 95's and SOME 96's. my 96 came with them and others didnt. its just one of those GM things.
Just put your stock trunk on during inspection and after inspection swap back to your shaved one.
2k Toyos have a clear outer lens and 2 sockets on the outer housings.

03+ has them as well. I have a set of dual sockets in my toolbox from my Cav
Another alternative is to get a 2000-02 Fire sedan bumper (with the reverse lights in the bumper).
Crystal (crazycavgirl) put an LED strip in the license plate box... if I can find a pic, I'll post it up.
If you have a spoiler with a brake light, just make a clear lens for it and use that as your reverse light.
best bet is def. the toyotas (00+ style as pictured)
MOLD! Custom! Everyone is "JDM"
okay so if someone have outter tail light with 2 socket

clear APC tail light (the set that come only with outter light)have 2 socket?
