isnt dry ice pretty dangerous if not handled correctly ?
Yup it can leave nasty burns.
Just don't be dumb with it though. Thats a pretty cool trick. I might have to give that a shot....
I gotta try that on the trunk. Thanks for the tip. Dent Wizard can kiss my a$$.
Gotta keep on livin', L-I-V-I-N
that is probably one of the coolest things I have ever seen.
If you don't handle dry ice properly, it will burn the holy living hell out of your hands. You have to have really good gloves meant for that, like he had in the vid. That is a pretty good trick, but the problem is, dry ice isn't exactly avalible to everyone. You just can't go down the street and find it, lol.
Around here most grocery stores carry it, they do card you for it though.

agreed....check a meijer if there is one nearby....we've never had a problem getting it there before

LOL I keep forgetting what you can buy in a grocery store in some places in the States. I suppose next you'll tell me they sell ammunition in aisle three.
Here in Ontario, grocery stores stick to food. No dry ice, no beer, and very rarely even cigarettes.

No actually it's in aisle four.
Grocery stores have it?? Crazy, lol. I know of one place in my area that has it, and its a specific ice shop that smaller companies order ice from.
the only reason they card you is because would can make a simple bomb out of it. Thank you mythbusters
I hope this works for big dents I have one in my front fender where my car was kicked in front of my house.
grocery stores dont "Carry" dry ice... they get it in on their big trucks that deliver ice cream and frozen foods, then they either pitch it, or save it.
i remember having a lot of fun with the dry ice we got at a grocery store i worked at, lol... one time i had the floor in the backstock storage room all "foggy" cuz i put the dry ice in the sink and sprayed water over it
Okay. They don't "carry" it, but they somehow gave it a upc code and they sell it to a customer for a profit. Either way in the US you can get it from some grocery stores.

true enough. i use to work at a local grocery store, and one time a bud and i took a huge chuck and threw inside a trash can outside. as luck would have it, it landed in someones orange drink that they threw away. talk about hilarious.
Nice. So someone on here's actually tried it? I have the perfect dent to try this one... But wouldn't the rest of the car surface need to be quite hot for it to work properly?

It probably would help a bit, but since dry ice has a surface temp of around -110F, the difference should still be enough to make it work -- if it works.

ive heard that dry ice messes with your paint/metal after its been exposed...which is the reason i didnt do it when i got my dent... just a warning i heard once....
Buddy is amazed by the idea, so we're going to try it at the junkyard first....if successful we'll get this little dent in his quarter panel out hopefully.
let us know joe, i got a dent in my passenger door id love to do this to if it works
well if you guys lived in so-cal with all the Mexican ice cream men then you know it only takes Spanish and a purchase of a 50 cent ice scream to get a half a block of dry ice. I Love Mexicans!!!
It works yes. But just like in the video, u dont apply long or hard and sometimes it takes multiple aplicatons. The dent can not be to major or been there for an extreme long time. It has worked for me in the past and not work as well. Just be careful as hell. That @!#$ is crazy danergous to skin!
