I'm going to need to paint some parts on my car, I found an HVLP in my dad's garage, so I should be alright with base and clear.
But for primer, would it be acceptable to use a rattle can, or am I going to need to get a primer-specific HVLP?
Well im sure some people are more picky than me...i prefer not to use rattle can unless its for stuf like interior parts and such..otherwise get some highbuild and shoot it with a gun...the rattle can suff is ok for odd jobs but i wouldnt go hardcore with it..its cheap..get what you pay for most of the time right..phil
DO NOT under any circumstances use rattle can primer on the exterior of a car and use actual auto paint over it... won't work... NOT a good idea at all
Put down the gun... and step away
Primer typically just needs a bigger needle...
^^ she said it...i just went and got myself a @!#$ty gun for primer with around a 2.0mm tip..phil
