Scam? or good idea?

alright i know someone here has bought one of these body kits from ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHEVY-CAVALIER-00-01-02-2-4DR-BODY-KIT-W-FREE-CANARD_W0QQitemZ180102610923QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item180102610923

my questions are
1. is this a good bodykit ? i dont want to pay 800.00+ for a bodykit on a car that i dont know if im keeping or not...
2. does it hold up to what they say it does? - im gentle on my cars body, i dont jump speed bumps or ride bumpers, so im not to worried about rock chips other then the ocassional driving hazard.
3. is this legit?
4. what the hell is a canard?

please put in some info... it has most of what i want for my car, but the drift rear ..not so much. but if its good quality at that price, i will deal with it.

i think i paid more for shipping that they're asking for the body kit....that right there is a red flag.

i know a few people who've cheaped out and bought those ebay kits and they are absolutely terrible. 3 layers of glass, not even close to fitting. end up paying 4 times the kit just to have at modified to fit the car.

do it if u want, but i always say do it right or dont do it at all

just my $0.02

French for "duck", last I knew.

Perhaps you get a free duck. You could make foie gras.

They are referring to the those little fender wings or whatever you call them. A canard is also a term used in aircraft that are surface mounted wings and such for stabilization purposes. They are things you put on the front fascia to "direct air" around the car for more aggressive handling, more useful for indy racing, rally racing or anyother aggressive driving. But serves no real purpose on everyday cars.
