How hard is it to install a fendor to an 01 Z22 Cavalier ? any body have a step by step i could follow Thanks
there is no such thing as a z22
im sure if you search around here there is a post on how to install them. its not very hard
you are the dumbest f*** ever my buddy has a cavalier and his came stock with a z22 sticker on the side it is just a regular cavy but it has a z22 sticker on it, and some people call them that, you noob, im a volkswagen enthusiast and i know that
well back two the question u have two bolts under the car at the bottom of the fender ur head lamp comes out with two bolts and the coner lamp has a phillips head scew and a pressure clip in the coner of the lamp just pulls out. then there are two bolts in the fender to hold the bumper on. there are a couple bolts and push clips holding the splash gaurd on in the wheel wells. then up top u have four 10 mm bolts one at the front one at the middle and two that hold the hood hinges on. also a bolt at the top of the fender inside the door jamb. this should be a good couple of hours of work.this is what ur gonna be looking for in the end after its all off quite alot of work. have fun.
heh i tried this thinking it would be cake. don't buy aftermarket fenders unless you know how to do bodywork. i bought aftermarket fenders and no matter what i do i can not get these things to line up properly. best bet is to find some fenders in a junk yard or buy oem parts.
fiberglass never fits perfect and if you find cheap fiberglass fenders you should expect problems (im not saying you bought cheap fenders im just saying in general cheap items are usually cheap for a reason)

they weren't fiberglass. they were metal.
^^^i assume u mean the steel Z3 fenders?
i used to have a set and they fit just like OEM. not a single issue

So I suppose from your logic that if the Cavalier had a GT, SS or SiR sticker on it, you'd call it a GT, SS, or SiR as well? The sticker magically makes it a different model you can call it by? Just because a dealer put a Z22 sticker on the car doesn't mean it's a Z22 because there is no such thing. So if I go get a GT sticker to put on my tC, does that automatically make it a tC GT because a dealer put a sticker on it or whatever? (just in case you don't know, there are no "model designations" of the tC... with the exception of the Release series, which isn't a designation it's just a special edition)
ANYWAY back to the post... there's 2 bolts in the fender in between where the fender and door meet (one of them is a real pita to get to), all the bolts where the fender liner is, 2 underneath the fender, and the ones in the engine bay and where the hood hinge bolts are...
remove and replace... lining everything back up can be a pita at times, especially if they're aftermarket fiberglass ones.

nah just stock looking fenders. only difference is they are aftermarket and not oem. i've tried and tried using them for my 00-02 conversion and they simply don't line up. if i get the door gap just right then the front tip of the fender hangs over the headlight. if i get the front and hood lined up pretty good then the gap at the door is way off.
No body panels will ever be a perfect fit. Some will just be closer than others. Washers are always a good thing to have around while fitting panels. I know it is an old trick but it worked for me.
