I have an 02 cavalier and am wanting to get a sunroof. It does not have a sun roof in it or a hole for it either. Has anyone ever had a sun roof put into their car and how much did it cost? I know I am not going to get the price it would cost me I would just like to know what people have paid for it if anyone has had it done.

call places around you. imo if it never came with one, i wouldnt put one in but thats just me
I was just thinking about this yesterday and from what I found out is that if it is put in aftermarket chances are it will leak...so i backed away from looking to get one in mine too

good call mike..ur exactly right. An aftermarket sunroof will be sealed for probably the first year...but after that it will start to leak just because its almost impossible to seal by putting it into an already finished car
^^What they said. However a if youre really into doing it, why not take one off a junked J?
It'd seal a LOT better if you just cut the roof of the car and welded the other setup on. A lot more work no doubt but welds generally don't (shouldn't -- if you know what youre doing) leak.
Might be a lot more work than its worth... On the other hand I WONT buy another car if it doesnt have one, I DO love using it. and it makes the car look sexier when its popped.
If you have the time/resources/money, I say do it
Well i have had my aftermarket one in my car since the original owner had it put in the car in 04 and still doesnt leak. its a webasto hollandia Stratos 300 and i love it.
Will that weakin the car?
Thanks for the insight. I plan on getting it done it just might be a little bit before I get around to doing it myself or leave the hassel to someone else.
