I have a urethane drift kit on my car right now and I am really getting sick of the constant maitinance that seems to be associated with this dang thing. But of course I dont want my car to have the stock base model bumpers. I like the look of the stock z24 front and rear bumbers but would like to buy them new. BTW I have a 2001. Or find a body kit that looks relatively stock.
The problem I am having is that no one seems to carry new stock body parts and all of the used crap from the junkyard is beat up.
Anyone know a place that sells the stock bumpers and stuff.
what kinda maintenance are you talking about?

Yes, please elaborate....
JASON's "AIR RIDE MAFIA" (airbagsource.com)
sounds like your original install didn't go as smooth as you had hoped.
Maybe you should try to re-install it. Make sure all the factory mounting points are hit, and you shouldn't really have any problems. At least its not fiberglass, and your having to re-sand it and re fiberglass it every time you bottom it out.
But to answer your question, you can find them on:
www.ebay.com
www.gmpartsdirect.com

You could go for a nice lip kit. Not too low, but still sets your car apart. They attach to the stock bumpers

hah, what kind of maitinace, well first off the major problem with having to install stuff with 3m double sided tape, and during the summer heat the stuff melts and peels, leaving me with a horrible peeling body kit. Add to that the mesh grill that gets bent every time you bump the thing on the ground. Then you have the repaints (two in the last 3 years because of stupid little bumps that bottom the front of the bumper. And the spider cracking fiberglass rear bumper. It just ain't worth it anymore.
It's just getting to the point where I could care less how my car looks, well lets just say I want it to look decent, ie. not like the stock base model cav but not the @!#$ty low ass body kits that hit everything on the road and dont allow me in 90% of drives.
So if someone makes me a good offer on a drift kit then its yours, this includes a fiberglass rear bumper, and urethane front, sides, AND door skins. If anyone remembers the ECC motorsports production of the urethane door skins, these are the first set that were made, as I was the one that got them to produce the skins. So if you want it and you offer a good price I might soon be willing to deal, provided I have a new stock bumper set up.
Hmm...my Z24 kit was held up with 3M tape, went through 2 years, going from lows around -12, to highs over 100...never had a prob....
I have the LS lip kit for front and rear....if u would want to trade....email me!
I m sell my z24 front and rear so i can trade u in for Urethane drift kit. does you have Urethane drift front ?

Well sounds like you need to adjust your driving for a kit and also you need to install the sides the right way. I have had the type-j kit for a long time now that is about 2 inches off the ground and have yet to bottom out so hard that it bends the mesh. The sides have yet to fall off and there 3m taped on. So your doing things wrong and its not the kits fault its yours. So learn to drive with a kit cause no matter what kit you get its going to do the same thing and most are glass so your gunna @!#$ them up worse.
