just curious if anyone could give some info on doing a suicide door conversion on an 03 and up J. any info would be helpful. thanks in advance. oh, and i read the faq on them and all it says it that they can be done and there is alot to it. i was just wanting to know a little more info. than that.

pretty much you have to be real good at measuring, cutting ,and welding if this is your first time it might not be a good thing to try. But check suicidedoors.com and check out there kit i have heard alot of things about them.

it would be the same procedure for any 95-05 2 door j.

not many people do this conversion because of all the work that's involved. like 1clean 4door said, there's a lot of careful measuring, cutting and welding involved.

not to mention, since you have sideskirts that come up onto your quarter panel, they are going to get in the way of the door opening all the way. you'd probably have to remove them. that means welding shut the holes from the side skirts on the doors, fenders and quarter panels and repainting about 80% of your car.

you're looking at one pricey project if you try it.

yup. have to move all the door hingers to the opposite side and the latch to the opposite side. lots of cutting, welding and measuring.
