i painted my 96 cavie like 2 years ago it is a metalic green. It has been threw a lot since then and there are a lot of things that need to be fixed on it. i wanna work on it this summer if i have time and if i fix everything that needs to be fixed i mine as well paint the whole car AGAIN! i was just wonder'in what color i should go with. IF YOU GUYS COULD POST SOME PICS OF YOUR CAVY UP HERE I WOULD APRECIATE IT A LOT! THANKS
got any pics of the current green you have?
creepy you posted this the same time i posted my same question, lol
how about paint it a color you want
Idk what color i wanna do, something that wont show too many inperfections. i guess.
i actually really like that green
That was when i first got it painted on the passenger side door there are some dents that i tried gettin out using body putty but you can still see them, so im goin to work on that, then i ran over a speed bump and did some damage to my passenfer side skirt, on the wing on the back is made for a newer modle but i molded it to my car and when we got it painted the body putty cracked around the base, and for some reason some of the paint on the back bu,per wanted to chip off. so as we can see i have a lot of work to do on it and by the time i fix all that i should just go ahead and repaint the whole car but i want a change. something different that not a lot of ppl have you know.
PLEASE POST SOME PIC'S OF YOUR CAVY SO I CAN SEE WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE IN DIFFERENT COLORS
not sure how exactly u went about the sanding of the filler, but my best suggestion would be to make sure you use a long block and take as big of strokes as you can when sanding it down. then just feel out the high/low spots
still say i like the green.....but how crazy are you looking for? how much $ are you looking to spend on materials. if you have deep pockets, take a look at alsacorp.com
uumm i know how to fix all the things that need to be fixed i just want ppl to post pics of their cavies so i can get an idea of what cavies look like in diff colors!
im trying to go for something like this:
love that color.....its expensive but definately check out alsacorp. especially the stylin basecoats line and the base pearls, or even the candy concentrates.
they have some pics of cars with the colors, but they have alot of the speedshapes to show the colors like these................
sorry...no actual pics of cavs with crazy colors
