Body Kit Tips?
Tuesday, April 24, 2007 1:36 PM
I know most of you would probably say that it's best to have it professionally done but I'm a do-it-yourself kind og guy and I'm just wondering if any of you have any tips or tricks for putting a kit on?

The kit consists of a drift front and sides along with a black widow rear.. and it's going on a 2002 cavy coupe

thanks

Actually I think most people would say to do it yourself.....Installing a kit is pretty basic, take off stock bumpers, put on new ones. The only problems I ever ran into would be the crush guards, you might have to do some trimming to get a good fit. Oh and some 3m tape for side skirts might help.

Make sure you spend time getting it lined up properly.

i dunno who says that, thats probably the people that buy cheap kits and they dont fit because they are warped. a body kit is simple to put on.

Well that is a different story. If you buy a cheap kit that doesn't fit, that is where people probably say to go to a professional. If you buy a good kit it should fit and should be pretty easy to install.
