turbo sport
just look around any site that sell parts and it'll say it.
...
thnx, man. but I thought the turbo sport is not available for the sunfire?
yea it is i have it on my car, was Grillrds hood. ClassGlassPerformance.com sells it.
thats it :-) I think thats the name of the guy who's car I saw it on ... a green sunfire from pennsylvania, right? Is the hood scoop functional?
Yeah. CGP makes the scoop functional... that's one of the hoods I'm contemplating for my Fire, engine to hood clearance pending of course...
yeap its a green/blue chom. sunfire. i got it off him right after he had his accident.
Shes all sanded down now ready for primer.
oh forgot to add that the hood is very well made. good fitment and its pretty thick fiberglass. I also dont have any hood clearence problems with my 2200 with a CAI that goes over the valve cover and a strut tower brace. Only problem is that the strut brace sits right inside the vent openin onthe hood so when u look in it you can only see the brace.

SImilar for now
Going with the 95-99 GT front end, WW sides and, if it doesn't sit too low, blitz rear (still need to use my hitch for an auto-x trailer).

I may have different issues since I'll have an engine not offered in J's....
Can you do me a favor and measure the depth of the scoop if you get a chance?
was race performance parts rick howe's business? it was race performance something...?

Good stuff ... any idea if a stock latch can be attached to the front of it (on the bottom) instead of hood pins?
yes the latch can be used it comes with threads installed in the hood to bolt the stock latch in. me and Rich both used the ltach and hood pins with the hood. But now i just use the pins.
Kardain I'll get measurements tomorrow for you if i remember
cool ... how come you went with the pins?

no that use to be run (well i dont know if it still is) by a guy name charlie
Does anyone know if they make the Gravana Turbo Sport hood for the Sunfire? I looked at garavanatuning but they don't list any ... however I noticed a guy with a Cav having one:
http://registry.gmenthusiast.com/images/extremecavy95/undercon1.jpg ... They look different IMO in that the scoop does not curve in like it does with CCP's (that somewhat horeshoe shape)
Yeah thats my car...... thats the closest they make to the original GM prototype, and its only available for the 95-02 cavaliers. Whats nice about it to is its functional and actually directs air the stock airbox, which is where most aftermarket intake filters sit
