Just wondering what people recommend for adhesing the Type J sides to the quarters. double side tape isnt working, anything a local auto zone would have or something that isnt a pain in the ass to get.
countersink screws are another option, but if i can keep from puncturing the body i'd like to...Thanks in advance

I would recomend Norton's Speedgrip Urethane Structural Adhesive. It comes in different time for setting up from 1 minute to 7 minutes before it will harden. I used it to hold on some fender flares and they are on there to stay. Rock solid.
It is the best thing out there for holding anything in place without worrying about it at all.
You will have to buy a special caulk gun for 65 bucks and the cartridge might do one side at 47 bucks for the cartridge. I know it is a lot of money but you won't have to worry about anything falling off.
You will have to call Norton to find a dealer in your area.
There is a rep that you can call. His name is Jeff Steinbach @ 1-609-841-9796 in Jersey that will help you find a place to buy it......
3m trim tape, @!#$ works great

By the way you have to hold the item in place with some clamps for 7 or so minutes depending on the time you have established you want this stuff to set up. A longer time might be better for a long piece. I used the one minute speedgrip and it still had a little longer to keep working on things if there is something a little out of place.
I am glad I had the clamps ready to go and positioned them for a test run before I applied the Speedgrip.
I took the clamps off then applied a good line or 2 of the speedgrip. Personally I would just do one line because this stuff is permanent. You may do damage to the side skirt trying to get them off. So I would say use less unless you really want them on there.
They say wear eye protection, gloves, plus something so you won't breath the fumes but I did it without any of that with no problems. I did have good ventalation. Gloves would have been nice.
I positioned the item after the one line of speedgrip then put on the clamps and you are all set.
It gives you enough time to wiggle anything around to get it just right and then tighten the clamps or even use your hands if you see any problem areas like a small bulge and apply pressure for 7 or more minutes.
I used them for fender flares that I am never taking off. So if you think you are going to want to take those side skirts off I don't know at all if that will work out well without destoying the part. Just so you know what you are getting into.

r u trying the white or the dark grey double sided tape? prolly the white which is meant for indoor use. if you are using the dark gray, then you arent prepping right. its been done by millions of people, so i dont see how it wouldnt work for you

i find bigger rolls at certain walmarts. or a autobody shop, possibly even carquest. but autozone near me usually has the smaller ones. sometimes u just gotta get a bunch of the smaller ones
i use the 3m double sided tape, and it works well enough. it's not perfect, but it holds well enough during the summer, and comes off easily enough when i need to take my skirts off for winter.
