i have a 01 z24 and al the other z's ive seen the grill and plastic around fog lights are color matched to the paint on the body but mine are grey and also the others have a front and rear lip but agin i don thave on anyone know why is mine just a base model or something?
what size engine do you have the other ones could be just ls with the z24 logo
Alright so here's how is it man.
From 00 to 01 when they changed the front end on the cavies, the Z24's dont have the grill or the area surrounding the fog lights painted the same as the car, they are just the grey as you described above. In 02 GM came out with the LS sport model and discontinued the Z24 mid year (in the US only still a Z in Canada). On these 02 they offered the front and rear lip (sport apperance package), and they area on the bumper that wasn't painted, came painted from the factory.
So to answer your question you don't have a base model just an older year. The cars you've seen have been 2002's.

^ not hard at all! buy the lips, cut slits in your bumpers for the clips, and your done!

that is what I am wanting to do too, just a matter of time and finding the lips, at least the front one, I have the 01 and the stupid grey grill and fog light area too, I think it sucks, but oh well
yeah it does what kind of paint you guys think would work best to color match the grey parts
anyone know where i can get the lip package for an 02 LS cheap?
man i was looking for the front lip for over a year and a half. you have no idea how bad i just wanted to take it off another car in the parking lot. but just 2 weeks ago i had someone sell me one. good luck on finding one. your going to be better off getting one from rk sport but those are i think 180. but im sure someone has one around here on this site some where. but when you do find it it is so worth the wait.

i got my z24 lip from a used auto dealer...i was just like everyone looking for it everywhere, i thought about getting it off another car too, but when i saw it a a dealership i talked to a sales man, i gave him 30 bucks and he let me get the front lip that was in perfect condition.... it didnt fit my 04 cav that well, i had to cut the ends off but it looks great
I wanted one so bad that I payed $300 from the dealer!! Im such a sucker....
I got a whole new (used) front bumper with the lip from www.carpart.com for $160 shipped to my door. I also got the rear lip from an org member for $30.
this may sound kinda lame but has any one tried to put the 00+ rear lip on a 95-99 Z rear bumper?
