ok, i tried to search but found nothing on the marker/blinker lamps. does anyone know what wire does what? my new blinker lamps have 2 wires and our stock harness has 3. trying to figure out how i can wire them up to use as parking light and blinker like we do stock.

any info is appreciated!

When in doubt, solder the same colors together!

black = ground
brown = park
odd color = turn

For what you are wanting to do, best bet is to do this:

run the park to your positive wire and use the turn wire as ground.

Now you're probably thinking , but that's the simple way as to how the J 194 front side markers work to they alternate when the park lights are on.

By applying power to what should be ground, the circuit is interrupted and the light turns off.

note: by using this method, your "turn signals" will not flash at full intensity and also will flash out of sync w/ the park lights on with the rears. They should act normally when the park lights are off.

If you don't feel comfortable doing that, use a 5 relay on each side, use the turn wire as the trigger and use either the power or ground output on pin 87a instead of 87 (87a is "hot" when relay deenergized)

another alternative is to see if there is a 3 wire socket that will fit whatever housing it is that you are planning on using

ok, i got the headlights to work like stock...but the blinkers only work when the lights are off. and also the pass side blinks fast, and the driver side blinks like stock. any ideas?

i tried the relay way and got nothing.

you have a pm

or if you can... try using the brown and non-black wire as power/ground and see if that works. Worst case, it pops a fuse.
