molding bomex rear

i was wondering if any one one here has cut the bomex rear in half to just use the lower part and try to mold that into a stock cavalier bumper. I am only talking about the last 8 or 10 inches of the bottom of the bomex to get rid of the bench like design. any info or even pics would help.

ive never seen it cut and molded like that on a cav. ive seen it done to a sunfire, though, and it was bass ass!!

the best cav mod ive seen was when a guy shortened the rear to about half its former size. looked pretty good IMO

if you are close to WV, ive got an extra bomex laying around that would be great to cut on for your project. PM me for info!

if u really know about bodywork... it's not a complicated task, you could even get away with not molding it in... just bolting it on like if it was a lip.... but u need to know what ur doing

if he's cutting the stock bumper in half and adding the bottom half of the bomex rear, then he cant simply bolt them together. there would be no lips for them to bolt onto each other, whereas a lip kit on a stock bumper does have that option.

i thought about doing it how that green cavy has it but i want to keep the main design as much as possible but also i don't want to hack at mine just to mess it all up and not have it work at all then be out of the rear all completely.
