ok i know this sounds easy and it is if i had an extra trunk to practice on.......but i dont so i know you just measure 3 times drill once w/ the spoiler but i was wondering if there is a sure fire way or and easier way to put on a spoiler thanks in advance for your responses

measure measure measure, then place the wing on where u would want and transfer ur measurements to that area and mark ur holes. then drill and check.. nothing too major to it. depending on wing make sure its centered and placed evenly..

What we did was we set the wing on my trunk and drew around the studs with white-out (black car) so we knew where to drill...

i put a lil grease on the bottom of my spoiler holes and placed it on the lid where i wanted it and the grease transfered to the lid. worked perfect for me

but here is a good addition to his question..

it seems everyone had a spoiler with some holes and then screws... what about ones with built in studs, so you cant just put something on the holes then sit it in place...?

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

actually it sounds funny, but normally at the one shop I worked at we used lipstick. Rub a little lipstick on the bolts on the bottom of the spoiler, and sit the spoiler down on the trunk. If you have to do it more than once fine, just wipe it off and try again... lipstick is easier to clean than grease. Make sure it's where you want it, drill holes... whala!
