Air Diffusers?

I did a searcbut I couldn't quite get what i was looking for..

Would it be any better for Aerodynamics or fuel economy to put a front and rear air diffuser on the Drift style body kit?
I ask this because I noticed that on my rear bumper (Extreme Dimensions), the underside is kinda just a big flat piece of fiberglass that just hangs down under it's own weight and all I can think of is wind catching up under there and dragging it down in turn causing a "sail" effect and creating alot of drag on the rear end of the car.
Basically I'm just wondering if I were to maybe bolt that piece up in the rear so it doesn't hang down and catch the wind anymore and put some form of diffuser on the front would it allow the air to travel under the car more freely and possibly help out the gas mileage or overall aerodynamics of the car?

Any thoughts on this, or insight would be appreciated, I can also get pics and explain better if need be.

the drift front is already pretty open, so you shouldnt need much there. the rear, however, is supposed to be open too. the original drift kit was designed like in the attached pic. all copies of it have added the flap you are referring to. so the easiest thing to do is to just trim the extra off. there isnt really anywhere to put a diffuser on a drift rear anyway....

beyond that, gas mpg difference should be negligible.
