Well most of you know that I'm going to be getting a new roof no matter what happens since I had a nice little tree branch fall on it from across the parking lot at the GM Tuner Bash. Here is a picture of the damage in case you missed out on my picture
My question is since I'm going to be getting a new roof why don't I put the skin for a sunroof on there. Pick up the sunroof and motor at the yard, and find a Sunfire 4dr with a sunroof for a back headliner. What do you think the difference of the skin's are in price? I think I can pick up the glass and motor for under $150 or maybe cheaper. I don't think it will be that big of a deal. I'm maybe going to make a trip down the Phatcav's painter since I heard he is good, and the price is even better. So I think this well be an easy swap.

i have a factory sunroof if you want it alot chaper than that. i picked it up at a yard along time ago and its sitting in my garage in chicago

BTW do they make a 4dr w/ a sunroof. I've not sure I've seen one stock on one or not. I guess I just thought they would have them also. I hate being new to Sedans sometime.

I've seen a couple, our 2002 LS Sport sedan was supposed to have one, but after driving to Chicago to pick it up we were informed that was a misprint.
However when shopping we did find a 2002 LS Sport in Indiana with a moonroof pictured, just wasn't feeling the mileage on it.

I believe sunroof was exclusive to z24 and LS. That said, try and find a 2000 sedan.

That sucks... cause I know the 2dr and the 4dr are really not to close. I couldn't mold the two together unless we welded almost a full 2dr roof onto a 4dr skin so that the glass fits right, but I think that is to much work for a sunroof I think. Damn this sucks. Good idea, but doesn't seem to able to happen.

Man do I ever want a Sunroof, but I think I'm going to just put a a reg skin on the car, put the IF sides and the LS bumpers I've been holding onto for a while on the car. After a full repaint I think I will be happy, and I will still have a no car payment, and a 5-speed still. That Eco in that one makes me want it, but I'm sure Aaron might be able to track me down a 5-speed eco one day when I have money. Thanks for looking for me.
I was mainly browsing for my own knowledge, as I had sworn sunroofs were available in the sedans until Eric corrected me. Out of 3 pages that is the only one I had found with a sunroof, but also there was a limited amount of LS Sport's per page.

I have a parts list of all the parts ever made... there's no listing for a sedan with sunroof. Only coupes

I had my eye on one of the 4 panel retractable G6 sunroofs for my car. The yard was gonna clip the whole roof at the posts and then have my bodyshop skin it onto my roof. Im sure you can get a coupe sunroof and graft it into a sedan roof somehow. The hard part is finding a salvage yard that will clip a perfectly good roof for cheap. May add up in the end but who knows, insurance money goes along way when your not having a dealership bodyshop fix the car.

See that is what I was thinking if I get a full skin of the 2dr with a sunroof and molding it into what I have left of the 4dr. I might ask Aaron to see if his painter will maybe take this on, but I might put the money to finishing off the TRD. Anyone think I should try to do this or not?

LoL I told you I will be picking up a new one that doesn't have a plate mounted to the front before I paint... For Wednesday I work in the afternoon. Maybe later today if you are not busy let me know you can stop buy today.
Same parts list the wreckers have. I have the Sunfire one, but the Cavalier uses mostly the same parts. Cost me a couple of bucks on Ebay, just the pages from an old parts book. Maybe I'll scan it one day
