Yes it works, I have done it with a hair dryer and dry ice. Metal expands when hot, and shrinks when cold thus causing some minor dents to pop out.
as long as there aren't any creases in the metal, yes it works.

by 'air duster' it just means compressed air in a can, commonly used to clean underneath the keys of computer keyboards, your local computer repair centre should have some cans.
