Against probably my better judgment (and the tenacity of my new wife), I am attempting to engage into this new j-body modification era. I have owned five different eclipse (DSM) vehicles and have extensively modified them. Some have been wrecked, others parted out, and the last went out the door because the wife was getting tired of paying for new parts. Yet, ironically, she has now caught the modification bug and wants me to "work" on her 1998 pontiac sunfire gt in purple color (ugh...).
I have been doing some research on the 98 toyota cavalier that appeals to my JDM desires and wanted to know if anyone knows where to locate the stock TRD front bumper, side skirts, and rear fascia. I also would be interested in locating the TRD stock steering wheel. It is my understanding that the trunk configurations from the sunfire to the cavalier are not direct swap capable. Is this true? I appreciate any and all feedback that I can get on this topic. Thanks in advance.

I've kinda had it on the back burner for a good while, but I've got so much crap from the locals I'm about to dive back into the car, but I'm tryin' to switch jobs to no only have the money for the project but time also since I'm hoping to go from 2 jobs down to 1 job. I thought I would point out a few things you are missing. First like others have said the rear end is not going to be able to be swamped to a Cavalier no if ands or buts about it. It would be cheaper in the long run to just get a Cavalier I would suggest you buy a Cavalier and go from there if you really want the full look. Cause really there is no nice rear that goes with Toyota kit for a Sunfire in my mind. I should know due to that I'm making my own instead. Next thing I wanted to say is that TRD never made a rear it is just the front and sides. Also I can tell you that the skirts are not really going to fit either cause of the rear 1/4 is just a little to different for a perfect fit. It is close, but I'm not using the vent on my car due to other reasons. They will have to be cut in half and molding together adding like 1/4" to make them fit right. Otherwise your front fender is going to be pushed into door pulling it so tight. For the last thing TRD never made a wheel only Toyota made the wheel. I think I got the sums up everything...

I don't mind working with fibreglass (used to work in a body shop). What is the forums opinion on this idea...taking the TRD style front bumper and molding it to the sunfire upper stock bumper to keep the sunfire headlights (and for something original)?
