My idea is this, I want to take the hydraulic hood props off of another car to use on my hood. Anyone have any ideas as to what cars would be the best to use. I have kind of an idea as to how I plan on doing it, and I also have a buddy that can weld, just in case I need to mount the tabs for the props. Does this honestly sound like it might work? Has anyone done it before, and if so could you post pics so I have an idea as to a good location to mount everything.

I was going to get mine from a '97 Lumina. They had 'em, and it doesn't look like too much work to make them fit on just about any other chevy. Maybe a couple new holes somewhere, and it'd be easily do-able.

my 89 Buick Regal had them. They just bolt to the hood and to the inside fender lip. I think i have them around here some where.
