Ok so I was home yesterday because I threw out my back and I'm resting and a knock comes at the door and its my landlords wife....she hit my parked car...wtf...so I can't really freak cause it's my landlords wife...so we go look at the damage and its the rear wheel well right down to the paint in one spot and than a crease above the tire really not a lot of damage but I figured a couple hundred...so I tell her I'll take it for an estimate she's like let me know what it is it can't be much I was like no I don't think it'll be that much like I said I'm figuring a couple hundred bux.....so I go to a guy that actually does custom cars and I trust him and he actually has been on speedvision and such his name is Jerry Kind he does awesome work so he's a friend of a friend and he's done some work for me before cash work and good work...so I see him and he says she shouldn't have a problem paying this $200.00 plus tax $214.00...so I'm like that's great....and I figure while it's in I'm gonna pay him and have my 04 tailights colormatched to my car finally....but I'm paying that on my own....so I'm droppin the car off in the morning plus the fact I'll be without a car now for two days...because she hit me....so I get home tonite give her the estimate for $214.00 and she's like omg that's alot of money well I'll let you know what I'm gonna do later....and I said well you let me know but I"m dropping the car off in the morning and she's still saying omg that's alot of money nothing was even done omg for that little thing....wtf so I'm anticipating she's going to tell her husband and he's gonna wanna try to talk me out of getting it done and shopping around for estimates which I don't want to do I like this guys work and he's reputable...and I don't want problems with my landlord either any advice or comments......thanks in advance...guess I just needed to rant a bit.....

Hey my car man i'm in the same boat as you but what i would do is pay for the damage then tell her not to charge you the amount in rent
she's complaining about $214?!?!?! As in two hundred and fourteen??? That sounds cheap to me... without seeing a picture of the damage I'd guess you'd normally pay at least a few hundred more than that... but I can't say for sure
Well yeah she was complaining so she comes to my door last nite and hands me the $214.00 and says well get it fixed I still think it's overpriced for nothing...I"m thinking nothing it's down to the bare metal for crying out loud....but got my money and took the car in this morning....and i'm also paying him to paint my tails so I"ll take pics and let everyone see the outcome on saturday.......and yes it was an extremely good price for the kind of work this guy does...but i became friendly with him and it pays off sometimes....like i said the guys on speedvision and is a real pro.....thanks

ok just picked up the car it looks awesome as i expected and so glad that i got the original 04 rear lights painted the color of the car it looks awesome...should have done it along time ago..i will take pics over the weekend and post them up.....thanks
