I was involved in a deer accident that split the top and bottom of the hood open on the driver side. I had found a thread in which someone else had screwed up their hood pretty good as well. They were using fiberglass to put it back together. Does anyone have the link for the thread?

post up some pics of your hood, i know what thread your takin about but i know his was also only cracked in one small area on the corner, when you glass it your gonna have to paint a good amount of your hood depending on where the cracks are and how bad they are

There are a few pics for you. The whole hood will be painted after its fized. I'm just wondering if there is any special way to fix it or just go through the normal process of fiberglassing.

wow it looks like it just came apart right at the front of the hood, thats kinda crazy but yeah i would just fiberglass the front back real good and you could probley get away with doing something like what vincent morris did with the hood on his car, look up his post in the photos and media section he just got his car back and the hood looks sick but definatly make sure you support the front really well so it dosent do that again

Your going to have to grind out all the cracks then fill it back in with cloth, block it out and paint it in some way to hide the damage or just paint the whole hood.

I'd think a deer would cause ALOT more damage than that.
I hit a deer in a astro van and it was totalled
