Hood vs. Fender alignment.

Hey everyone. About 2-3 weeks ago, I swapped hoods, for a c/f one from an .org member.

My question is, theres about 1/2" to 3/4" between the fenders and the hood on either side. How do you ajust this? I searched and didnt really find what im looking for. I know I need to center the hood better, but the sides still need to come in a bit. I can take pics of what im talking about, but not till tommorow at the earliest.

Any help on this would be appreciated. Im not really familiar with bodywork/panels, but it seems that I'd just need to loosen/move/tighten the bolts on either fender. I want to make sure that theres not specific bolts in it for ajustment, because I was feeling lazy and only loosened the bolts under the hood, and the fender wouldnt budge.

Am I on the right track with that? or do i need to do something more specific?

thanks in advance!

loosen all your fender bolts a bit so you can move it a bit, u may find you need to drill out the holes a little bit to get them to move in enough. if its 3/4" on both sides, sounds like the hood is just poorly designed and isnt wide enough, you maybe able to get the clearance closer but with that much gap you may not be able to get it as good as stock. because you can only move the fender portion by the front window so much before it puts it out of whack with your door and a-pillar. your going to have to make some sacrifices.

Sngsgood is correct. Alot of C/F hoods arnt gonna fit correctly or perfectly as you seem to be wanting. The fenders usually are gonna move front to back and only a little side to side as like he stated will be outta wack with the door and be too sunk in and make that gap look horrible. Good luck on the project though.

think even the best guys would find it hard to eat up close to an inch of gap without doing major work.
