Anyone has this tail lights in older sunfires 96-01 for example? I love how the black ones look, but really dont know if they fit. Seems to not. I own a '00 Sunfire
Over here we dont have the latest sunfires so i cant check them, I had also searched on the board but not found what I'm looking for.

If u have pics of yours would be nice =D

TY!

U are owner of what u shut, and slave of what u said...

From a visual standpoint, they don't appear to be the same size. I do not believe they are. '03+ sunfires had a complete redesign both front and back end to help "freshen" things up and hopefully boost sales towards the end of the sunfire's life.

Might not appear the same size, but they DO bolt up. you must also swap

out the tail finish panel on the trunk lid & the rear bumper for them to fit properly though.

It has been done.

Yes, it's my REAL car. No, it is NOT photoshopped or "this is how my car will look someday". It's the REAL DEAL.

^He is right about swaping out the trunk lid finish panel and also the rear bumper to get these to fit. If you don't then you can't get the tails. I swaped out my 97 Sunfire to 03-05 Sunfire rear end.

True, wasn't thinking about that since I took the OP's comment to be asking if they are "plug and play" to the current '01 rear style.

To DamiAn - If you like the tails then I'd say go for it and "convert" the rear! It'll be worth it if you really want them and it isn't that much extra to do if you know where to pick up the parts. Search the forum in exterior for the rear swap.

take off the bumper, tail lights and trunk panel:

and you can do a bolt up swap to the '03+ rear (aftermarket or stock bumper, whichever):

piece of cake.

I dont really care for the aftermarket tails. I had a set of the black TYC tails, but I traded them for a set of stock ones.

Its almost identical to the gxp spoiler, except its on the bottom of the trunk lid. Just how much work is involved in making it fit? What is the spoiler made from, fiberglass?

^^A lot of work is involved in making it fit. If you aren't good with fiberglass I don't suggest trying it.
