Molding decklid to Quarter??

I was thinking of something to do that would make my car unique. Well I came across an idea of shaving/molding the decklid. Having the quarter panel be one with the trunk lid. My seats can fold down so I would be able to get into the trunk from inside the car just not the outside. My bumpers are also being molded so the it will just have a clean look I think... My buddy at the body shop said he could do it I just wanted to hear some other opinions on it. thanks

i think you still need some work on the terms. basically you want to weld the whole trunk lid closed. while its not that bad of an idea, it would just be a pain in the ass if you ever needed to put anything in the trunk. i honestly like this look

My buddy did it on his cav. You just have to decide if you want the inconvenience of going through the back seat to get to your trunk. If you only use your trunk to carry your spare and you like the idea of cleaning off a few lines, go for it.

STREET ANTIX, it's coming...

Just because you said that....after you do this...if you do (which I hope you don't)...your going to need your trunk for something. If you wanna put a stereo in there....good luck. If something blows with the stereo in there...good luck....bulbs are hard enough to change if you can't see what your doing lol. The designer of the car put the trunk there for a reason...and on a DD car, its just not smart to make it one with the rest of the car. I'm sure tons of ppl have thought of this, and then thought of all of the grief that there causing themselves.
