Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows if I can get some flag style mirrors to fit a 3rd gen Cavalier. I've been looking around, but can't seem to come up with anything definite. I looked into buying some Toyota Cavalier mirrors; they seem a bit better than the stock ones, but there is no way I am going to pay $380 for
one mirror! Are there any ready-made ones, or would this be more of a modify-something-else-to-fit kind of a deal? Any ideas? I would appreciate any help you could give me.
(This is a generic example
of what I'm looking for.)
i guess you meant folding mirrors. good luck in finding some. i just wanted to clear up what you wanted. alot of times, if you know what it's called, it helps searching for it easier.
but toyo cav are the only ones that i know of.

Wow. That was a fast reply! I go away for a couple of minutes and BOOM!

Just to clarify: What I'm calling "flag style" mirrors are ones that only have one support below center on the mirror base that connects to the car body. They could fold or not fold, but the style would be the same. I'll hunt for some "folding" mirrors and see what comes up. Thanks for the suggestion.
you could always look for a used set of toyo mirrors. that is, of course, if you'd like to get a set of those.

with harness relay and switch. Try ebay theres a set on there once in a blue, or get in contact with street-line.net. They carry Toyota Cavalier parts and usually have them in stock depending on what application you need.

i still need the harness and switch for mine
I would consider a set of Toyota mirrors ($260 for a pair on street-line.net is a whole lot more bearable), but I also remember the mirrors are set up for a right-hand drive like in Japan, and I don't think I could stand having the "objects are closer than they appear" optical distortion in my closest driver's side mirror. I've heard the mirror glass can be replaced, but that just adds additional cost. Not that I'm cheap or anything...
