I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with
carbon innovation, an ebay seller?
I was looking to get a vis evo hood from him for my 2003 cavalier ls sport. I know its off ebay but i've never got screwed on ebay yet. He has great feedback as well, 99.2%. I thought i'd ask around to see the quality of the hoods if anyone knows. It is an actual vis hood no cheap one, it even has the vis emblem on the underside. I feel extremely confident with the seller just thought i'd ask around. LMK if you have ever dealt with him.
If I didn't buy from ebay I found a site that will match any CF price meaning they'd match the ebay price. I've already asked and they will match the ebay price for me. Has anyone heard of
http://www.streetconcept.com? I myself have never heard or seen the website. They are also not verified. They do however accept paypal for payment.
I'm leaning towards ebay, I actually feel more comfortable with ebay for that sell.

along with this; I have a vibrant stb on the car. Will I have enough clearance to keep the stb bar on the car with the vis evo cf hood?

Well I just got my CF hood from carbon innovations on ebay, and I must say it is a great looking hood. I dont see a single blemish in the hood at all. It has all vis packaging on it which was pleasing. I loved coming home from school to see this hood sitting out front. Very nice item, I'll have it on friday evening around 3:30. Cost's 50 to 70 to get it on but whatever. I'll be sure to post pics and I AM USING HOOD PINS!

put the hood on yourself its 4 bolts. takes about 10 mins to do
Your paying someone 50 to 70 dollars to put on a hood? I take mine off before winter and put it back on by myself and it only takes like 10-15min.
Wish i had that much money to throw around.
Wise move with the pins, better safe than sorry.
It's not installing the hood that i'm worried about. I have no clue how to install the hood pins in which i prefer to have on the hood so I'm gonna have someone else install it.
Does anyone keep it on throughout the winter? Also, is there anything I should know about the hood and weather; freezing, rain, heat? What happens if water gets down through the hood slots?
The hood has a rain coat on it and a UV coat so it should be fine there but what about winter?

no offense but you should really research a product before you buy it if you dont know anything about it
as far as winter, i would take it off. no point in ruining a new hood because your too lazy to take it off.
as far as the water, if the hood was built right it will have pockets under the hood to direct the water away from the motor.
Do any of the "UV coatings" on any CF hoods actually keep it from fading? Mine is a cheaper hood and it did it, so I had it cleared. But I have also heard of people with the VIS hood or other more expensive ones that fade to.
if you keep up with the hood like you do a cars paint and wax it every once and a while it shouldnt fog
