cavalier trunk Q

I have been wanting to get a CF trunk, however mine is an 04 so I have the lights that go all theway across. all the ones I see use the split light style as in 95-02.

I know I am not the first to run into this. does the big ass taillight just bolt on to the 95-02 trunk? I know thatsounds stupid and I dobt it.

or if I decide to go to a CF trunk am I just screwed into haveing the 95-02 tails?

I dont know if i would call it "screwed into having to use the 95-02 tails", but unless you find a trunk made for your car you will probably have to swap.

if you get the lid, just get the 00-02 outers and inners and your done.

if i remember correctly the 03-05 filler panel's DO just bolt on the trunk, so you would need to drill into the CF trunk to make it work, and then probly make sure you drill through the underside framework so you can get to the fasteners.

personally, i commend you on wanting to maintain the stock appearance factor and blend with that of the aftermarket. but if it were me, id just go with the 95-02 style tails.

thats what I was thinking.

I will have to talk to a body shop on that though. I don't trust myself on body work outside of claybar/wax/polish and I don't wanna by a CF part and end up butchering it
