hey all!!,
i was just wondering if any of you guys had any problems with the kit directly bolting on to your cav's?? with all types of kits! fiberglass/ Duraflex Fiberglass, and urathane!! all models too 95-99, 00-02, 03-05!! thanx for all your feedback in advance
every kit is different. you never know how it will fit out of the mold - some are good, some aren't. sometimes depends where you get it from
like i said before, test fit and make it fit yourself. if you don't think you can do it, take it somewhere.
Oh man I remember the days. This question has not been asked in a long time.
I had an remember everyone having a problem with the rear bumper. You have to completely remove the crush guard. I tried trimming and trimming but it would fit with it on there. Then you have to make a bracket under the back to keep the bumper from waving were it meets the trunk. Not a hard thing to do. Just some L brackets and you are fine.
The sides don't hold with 2sided tape. So you eather drill it in and screw it or you mold it into the side of the car. You are gonna have to sand down the skirts to make them fit flush also.
The front is different with every kit. The first front that I had fit like a glove. Just drill some holes for the fender holes. It even cliped in on the reinforcement. The second front I got that came from the same company did not fit very well. Could not clip it into the reinforcement but did not matter to me. One of the sides of the bumper under the light was actually lower so I fixed that with a wad of foam under that side of the light. Held it right up. LOL.
So like said before with everykit there are different things you will have to do to it to make it fit but I gave you some of the regulars with all the different types of material for the kit.
The only one you will not have problems with, I have heard, is the urethane kit if you can find it and if they still make it.
My dealings were with fiberglass.
yeah, they don't make the urathane mold for the drift kit for my 03 cavy anymore so i got the next best kit i could fiberglass duraflex, it's still fiberglass but has flex agents in it to make it flexable, i've always wanted the drift kit and love the way it looks so yeah hopefully won't be too hard to install that one!!
Yes, it's my REAL car. No, it is NOT photoshopped or "this is how my car will look someday". It's the REAL DEAL.
my explosion kit fit quite well.., thank god cause i was 3 hours form home when we installed it haha
