I read the post by projectwyldfyre on how to wire up the toyota tails. My question is on step #11. What kind of wire would I need when connecting the white wire form the 3rd brake light to the tails. Is there a certain type of wire or size? Thanks for your help.
i say 16awg is more than enough but you could go 14awg if you wanted to
14 or 16g will work fine.

alright one more question. i got a 00 and the wires going to the 3rd brake light on the spoiler are brown and black. which one do i splice into?
black is ground, brown is power.
ok got one more...lol. i cant seem to find the white wire in the steering colum. since the wire i need to splice into is a brown wire for the 3rd brake light do i still have to cut a white wire in the colum and should this white wire be in the blue harness thats in the pic by projectwyldfyre has posted up?
ok i turn on my lights on and the brake lights turn on also. what the hell did i do wrong>
lol sorry what i meant to say was that when i press the brake only the 3rd brake light on the spoiler turns on and not the reg brake lights. any ides? 00 LS cav.
easy method
match the like colors, then the odd one is the brake.
before you cut the white wire in the column, test. Make sure the lights/brakes/turn come on as they should (the amber at this point will act as a brake light as well, but ignore that)
Then cut the last wire.

i read the directions on some of the links in these wiring forums. and i still dont really understand how to do it. i really dont wanna mess anything up! so. if some one has pics or is doin the conversion ATM can u takje and send me pics and detailed instructions of whut each pic is? kinda like the "How To Disable DRL" forum did. it would be greatly appreciated! thank u!
