urethane lip twisted a little (how to fix?)
Friday, January 11, 2008 11:18 AM
I bought a lip made of urethane and it has a bit of a twist to it, they said it would fix itself when I put it on the car, not going to happen,

so then they said if I used a heat gun it would soffen it up a little to where I would be able to bent it back in shape,

will this work, or what is the best way to fix it,
thanks

if you bought it from a company, send it back.

other wise yea heat gun + warm day oughta allow you to twist it

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

I tried to take it back but because it was on sale, they said they couldn't,
buggers,
but a heat gun should work, I guess just don't have it in one spot to long hey?

I am just worried that it will melt or something like that

best thing to do is leave it in the sun for a few hours....if thats possible based on your location.

but if it is cold wintery, not sure why you'd put it on now anyways.

heat gun will work, just be careful to keep the gun moving and dont centralise the heat for any perios of time.

sweet, I tried to get the sides and rear today and they sold it, and it was about a third the cost of everywhere else, makes me sad, but oh well, at least the front will look lower, it won't flow too well with the factory sides I have and no rear lip, but I am ok with that, for now
