does anyone make a carbon fiber trunk for the 03+ cavalier and if so is it true carbon or carbon fiber over metal? Would it reduce the weight by any at all? And same with the hoods are they pure carbon or carbon overlay? reduce weight any?
trunks are a fiberglass frame wrapped in carbon. same with most hoods. but there are a few out there made of pre carbon.
any 95-02 cf lid will fot your 03-05, but you will either need to swap to 95-02 tails, or drill holes for the 03-05 bar that goes across the trunk, which I wouldnt reccommend
my hood has a fiberglass frame and a layer of carbon fiber laid over the top, it's considerably lighter than the stock hood. same goes with my cf trunk lid.
