Last fall i removed my door trim and embalms. My car is silver and underneath where the door trim was on the fender and quarter panels, there is no clear coat? It is a different colour than there rest of the car, im looking into ways to cover it up first, before paint. If i was to find a set of silver gt sides could i use those. I seen some cars on jbo with gt sides, mostly cavs. What would be required to install them. I don't want to drill hole if that is necessary, but is that only for the door trim??? Any help would be great~ thanks ps the car is an 01 sunfire
The GT sides are attached by 2 holes in the fender... 3 in the qtr panel... and about 7 or 8 braces underneath... so you would have to drill holes
@!#$ty that kinda sounds like rust waiting to happen, is it a big deal to put them on, where would the holes be drilled?
hmm...I don't have any pictures... but if you've seen the backside of the skirts... they are about 1 - 1/2th inchs from the top... what i did when I had to mount my door molding was i got some rust preventer stuff (the red crap) and put it on around the holes so that it wasn't exposed...
