Thinkin bout putting a kit on my car as my friend is selling his J and returning it to nearly stock..... he has a nice body kit its the drift kit.... looks sick just needs paint my only question is.... to all you bodykit wielding canucks is it worth it? i live in south ontario and the snow gets pretty rough here just wondering if anyone around here or any other heavily snowed area has advice on whether or not to get the kit lemme know.

thanks.

common sense says
save your stock parts and use them in winter, as i will do next year, or

dont drive it in winter at all, as some also do

and get the kit if you want to, the hell do we care?

i live in Toronto, and have the Bomex kit on my 04 sunfire. During the bad storms, im a bit of a snow plow, other then that it is okay for the most part. The car is at stock ride height, lets see how she does when i lower it, although i will go with coilovers so it can be raised back up again.

soo, i guess im saying its alright at stck height

I have the drift kit on mine and had to pull it out early cause my winter beater died.Mine hits alot at stock height but is pretty damn durable,It's taken a @!#$ kickin but does need some touch ups, debating on getting a cobalt right now or finish this car.Don't be suprised if you have to fix it up in the spring is all lol

just put it away, besides the type j the drift kit is the single lowest hanging body kit out there for the cavy, so any amount of snow is gonna @!#$ your @!#$ up.. so it all really comes down to, do you want a nice car, or one that doesnt look stock and also doubles as a snow plow... its up to you man, i store mine when it gets cold..

I still rock my WW Avenger kit also its dropped on eibach sportlines throughout 2 winters. I scrape and plow countless of times.

If I rock some FG kit and for the way I drive. They will be gone in no time after a first scrape or plow..

WingsWest's Urethane = FTW!

yea the question is, is it Fibreglass or Urethane ? If its FG IMO don't bother drivin with it in the winter unless you have money to throw away for the sure joy of destroyin it .. I can only see our winters getting worse by the pattern of weather each season ...
I leave the stock parts on in the winter, personal pref.
