Hi everyone Im new so if this post is in the wrong place my bad!
I have a 2007 Cobalt LT coupe. It has everyhing I wanted but a sunroof. A good friend of mine ownes a shop and they do sunroofs all the time. It comes with a 5 year warranty. Has anyone had this done to their car? if so, how did it turn out? ive heard horror stories but ive heard jus as many good stories about them. It's going to be a spoiler sunroof. He does them all the time. Jus wondering if anyone has any advise for me. Thanks!

Some have done it but most end up leaking after so long. that will be the response you will get.
5 seconds to find another street...
i dont recommend it but others say they never had a problem.
if i can install a sliding rag top by myself (ie no experience) and have it not leak, surely an experienced shop can do the same for a part that comes stock on like a third of the cars made today
Jeep cherokees never came factory with sunroof options, but they WERE dealer installed options, dealers would outsource the work to reputable shops and actually warrant them. so id guess it would come down to the old saying, you get what you pay for. if you pay your friends aunts cousin to do it for pocket change, chances are it will leak. if you take it to a good shop that does this kind of thing daily, chances are you will get good quality work.
