So I did a search... and only found that these have been mentioned in a few posts... has anyone picked the evil eyes up off of ebay??? I'm currently trying to find a local shop to weld in evil eyes... but have yet to find one that will do it for a decent price... so I was thinking for the time being I would grab a set off of ebay (the ones that apparently bolt on).... any tips or does anyone here have them installed? Also I know they will not look as good as welded ones so constructive comments only....

dont waste your money, save up and do it right the first time...
i've got the money to do it... but local body shops will not take on custom work until the middle/late summer...
the ebay metal eyelids are usually just cheap, thin metal. so if there are some on there then thats most likely what youll get.
that's what I figured... just looking for something temporary for right now... I will definitely be getting proper welded in ones as soon as the body shop calls me and says they can do it... however around here the wait for non-custom work is 4-5 months... i am hoping when my car goes in to get the rear qrtr fixed they will be able to do the hood as well...
My buddy was in the same boat as you. Couldn't get his done right until later in the year so he just wanted a temporary thing. He bought a set of headlight covers, cut the the shape he wanted, painted them body color and stuck them right to the hood. Looks decent for the price...
hmm never thought of that.... I've also read about people using vinyl... and sticking it to the head lights... I think i'm going to pick up the ebay ones... its only $25 shipped to me.. then atleast i'll also have a template for when I get it done the good way
its gonna look like @!#$ dont even bother.
how would you use them as a template? you simply connect the 2 corners, its not hard to make a piece of metal fit. as far as a shop saying they wont do it for x months is bs. it will take them a day to do everything for it. if they wanted the work, they would find a way to fit it in.

actually the they won't do it for x months is no bs up here... due to the high volume of winter collisions you are lucky to get work done through insurance here faster then 2 months... the thing is they care less if I went to another shop.. every body shop up here is jam packed and they all have a steady stream of work... during the summer the wait usually goes down to 2-3 months...
Maybe you can find someone who will do it at their home. My sister's boyfriend is a welder by trade, and he said its no problem. Anyone who knows what they are doing will be able to do a good job, you dont have to work in a body shop to know how to weld in evil eyes!
that's a possibility.. however it's tough to even find a welder here.... the trades are still going crazy with work.... I might be able to get someone to do it as a favor but even if I get a welder to weld them in I would be still waiting to get it painted... although the cost would most likely be cheaper... I'll look into that

Will like look like @!#$ if you stick it to the headlights, which is why my buddy stuck what was left of his headlight covers to his hood.
Also, a welder can weld it in, but a Millwright would be a better tradesperson for the fabrication skills needed to get it to blend with the contours of the hood.
hmmm interesting.. never thought of a millwright.... just so happens that I know a good millwright who if i'm not mistaken has some good welding skills.... hopefully by the end of summer I have permanent evil eyes =) thanks for all the input guys
