I am looking to put an hid kit in my 03 sunfire and need to disable the drl. I can take out the relay but then the check engine light comes on i need to figure out how to do it without forcing the light to come on that way Ill still know if i actually do have a problem

Read the faq for disabling the drl's. It is one of the easiest and fastest mods I have ever done so it shouldn't be hard for a beginner at all.

Curious.
Could you remove DRLs at the dealer?
Could you remove it with HP tuners or some other on board computer?
