I've read the FAQ's and did some research on the TSB/recall for the rear light socket on sunfires that sometimes makes the dash indicator flash rapidly like a bulb is burned out in the turn signal. The issue supposevely was taken care of when the previous owner had the car but the issue is back again. The dealer was suppose to grease the socket or replace it and I'm going to say that they did nothing more than grease it a tiny bit. I've since greased the socket with di-electric grease and it worked fine for 4 months. Can I take it back to a gm dealership and have it covered under the TSB/recall or because my vin number has been entered already would they charge me? The socket doesn't seem to fit tight enough in the light housing and I was wondering where I might get a new socket and just re wire a different one in to hopefully fix the problem once and for all
I just had the same exact issue and the wanted $130 just to look at the car bucause the previous owner supposedly had the problem fixed, but trust me just go buy the socket from the dealer its $14 and full of grease and you dont have to deal with all the hassle and takes 30 sceonds to fix, leave all the grease in and plug in the bulb

give the dealership a call and ask them. i would like to think that it should still be covered.
I had an issure simmler to this one tho my pass breaklight harness kept blowning bolbs and then they fixed it twice and it would only do it if I put led bubls in and after 4 led bubls i went threw it stoped blowing em, i have had it for about 2-3 years now the bulbs still working great.

Had that issue with my cav. less than a month after I bought it. If your cars out of warranty and/or its been over the 12/12 on th repair. Your probably just better off buying the socket and replacing it yourself
Thanks, I think I'll go to the dealership and get me a new socket. Hopefully that fixes the problem once and for all.
