Well I got two quarts of GM Bright red and Black paint and im finishing up some designs for the paint, and im having a hard time getting the hood lines to flow properly as well.
so kinda looking for opinions, good and bad, and what im provements i can make to the design before i get it all done next month... everything was done really quickly so im aware of the crappy chops
ACTUAL CAR
Cartoon version w/ crappy PS skills..
Then the design..
it was taken from this original design from when i first wanted to paint two tone in 2006... wow its been a long time since i needed paint
So, yeah.. thats kinda the idea, the back is gonna wrap around with the whole back area being black wrapping around the trunk and rear up to the quarter, but need more of a solid design on the side, but the biggest issue is how to flow onto the front and get it to flow onto the hood
also, here is the front of teh car, i think the bottom ridge under the corner will be black or may cut it off on the sides, and dont know what design to put onto the hood, i need to paint a part of it because there was slight damage in the corner so it needs painted over.

a few suggestions: since the hood is c/f, why not do the black on top and red on bottom. that way the whole top of the car is blacked out and it would flow with the tint and window moldings and c/f hood.
also, im just not feeling that little jut down on the quarters. not sure what to tell you to do about it except to perhaps come up with a better flowing design on that part. maybe you could do the X like importthisz24 or queen z had, only instead of on the doors, do it on the quarter. that might look nice.
this is what i was talking about...
The front is pretty much how i was planning to stop right there in the front, and the rear i think ill have wrapped all the way up to the windsheild, and so that will pull that line up, but something like that would be pretty cool too..
Ill def. give it some thought, thanks ben
Also open to other opinions, or suggestions..

im painting i tell you what to do!
No you dont lol but i love you anyways...

id say something simple. leave the hood. get a c/f trunk. and just paint the roof black!

I may be able to leave the hood because the problem spot on the hood, is looking like its JUST clear, if I can do that i would... maybe i should reverse it then ?

i dont have a pic of my car up on here but what i did with my two tone is i split it above the door handles arpund the edge of the trunk and on the front fender where their is no bodyline i just followoed the contour of the front fender from like the front 1/3rd of it to the corner of the headlight and painted the whole front bumper the same color
if you go with the your design on the two tone. y dont you tint the epoxy red and put it on your hood. that way when it is bright out carbon fiber will come close to matching the red. talk to tabs about the tinted epoxy or clear. he showed me a couple peices where he tinted it. also to bad you got your paint already because the other darker metallic red same as phewes(cayenne i think) with the tint would of probally been perfect match.
I got the paint today
pics are in P&M..
I think that would be cool if I do actually paint a design in the hood, the part I leave carbon I could put some pearl in the clear to give it a tint, ill talk to ben about it as well.. not sure what im doing with the hood just yet, thank god I have a few weeks to figure this all out.

this is the idea i was thinking
i would probably just either leave it or paint it like the car, that looks like it just doesnt match to me, and im not really adding pearl or candy if i dont have to.
Def. looking for more options, I really need some help on this, im sure there are some cool ones out there besides what ive seen in the search, which isnt much
