What would need to be done to this kit..

Hey guys!

I have an '05 Cavalier LS Sport.

looking at this kit. I like the looks of it.

I have a few questions I'm not a body guy at all so if these sound stupid I'm sorry.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/00-01-02-03-04-05-06-CHEV-CAVALIER-2-4DR-DRIFT-BODY-KIT_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6755QQihZ007QQitemZ170210765173QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Will this kit work on my car straight out?

If not what will need to be done to it?

Also I have fog lights. What kind of customization will this need to put some nice looking lights in with it. Also where can I get some nice lights to go with this kit.

And last and not least. How much will the extra customization run for me. Just an estimate.

Thanks guys!

by the look of it, they have both the 00-02 kit, and the 03-05 kit, so just tell them you have an '05 and they will send you the right stuff.

as far as "will it fit straight out", that's hit or miss. cheap fiberglass body kits don't always fit well without some tweaking. it could fit pretty well and not cost much to get it fit up and painted... or it could cost hundreds to just get it to fit properly, then still get it painted, you never know.

you're really better off going through one of the companies here that sell body kits. it will cost a little more to get the full kit, but you know you're getting a much better quality kit.

like tony said it all depends on the kit. fiberglass molds break down over time so one kit can be good and one can be bad. its hard to say if it will fit right or not. more than likely you will need to do tweaking to get it to fit right. when i had that kit, my sides were warped and didnt fit for @!#$. took alot of time to get them straight and fitting good.

it's the drift kit. there's probably a couple hundred people who have used that kit by now. what do you really want to know about it that i didn't already tell you?

so youre wanting to buy a used kit thats made for something OTHER than an 03+ cav? if so, then yes it can fit, but it will NOT be a direct bolt on. you will have to work with it and make it fit your car either by way of a front end swap or cutting and molding it to your stock bumpers. so unless the price is super low, youre better off getting one designed for your year.

that's the kit i got as well!!! haven't got it on yet!! but ordered it through andys autosport!! i know some guys on here don't like andys and i guess everyone has there own preference! but i had good customer service with them and i've fitted the rear bumper and side skirts so far! it's also the duraflex kit has some plastic fibers and flex resins to help it flex more than a normal fiberglass kit!!!, the rear bumper seems to fit real good along with the drivers side side skirt! the passenger side skirt however has a bit of a warp to it!!! and haven't tried the front bumper yet! but hopefully it'll fit like a glove cause imo that is the money shot on that kit!!!
