Muffler tips???
Saturday, April 19, 2008 6:08 AM
Hey, i have one of them mufflers with the dual dtm tips that turn up; i was thinking of cutting the part of the tips off where they beging to turn upwards, would that look better then it does now; trying to make the muffler less noticable and ricey; or should i keep the tips the way they are and see if i can get the exaust pipe right before it hits the muffler cut shorter and have the muffler sit back further so the tips dont come out as far, what do you thinkj would look best.

Cut tips off
Move muffler back further
keep it the way it is

You can see a pic in my siggy of the kind of muffler
sorry no pics at the moment to post, will try later...

i would get a different muffler. if the rest of the pipe is stock, i'd put a stock muffler on.

what kind of mufflers are out there that dont look too huge and sound good ? MAGNAFLOW must have a good looking one.
I am looking for something that is NOT flashy and big, but sounds good and is stainless...
My vibrant one i have now is stainless and sound great imo, i also have a header, 2.25 inch pipeing and a dynomax cat...
