How do I take the brake light out of the spoiler? I took the screws out but I can not pull it out far enough to see if there is a harness to disconnect, do I need to take the spoiler off?
Help...
youll need to unhook the bulb, but that should be it. pry at it to get it started and then just pull it a little way out to get to the bulb. at least thats how it was on my 97z
its a pain, thats what it is... jiggle it a little bit and try and pry it out, if i remember correctly.
push in a little, pull up and out. thats how i got mine loose.
not sure if its the same for cavs. but the harnes is in the trunk... just disconnect that and then seperate it from the trunk lid.... mine basically fell off when i removed my spoiler
Sorry I should have been a bit more specific its the 2000+Z spoiler with the LED light, so there is no "bulb" to take out. I have it pulled out so I can see a little bit of wire but not a lot. It feels like if I pull it anymore somethings going to break.
There should be a connector on the inside of your trunk lid. Thats how mine is connected. Just pop the trunk.
I just VHT'd my tails and I need to do my 3'rd brake light... does the same priciple apply to the 03+?

I have an '03 and I have seen it in a '95-'99 and should be the same in the '00-'02's, the connector is in the truck just above the lock cylinder.
