i got my hands ona carbon fiber trunk pretty cheap. the catch was it has a greenish candy clear coat on it. is there a way to get the clear off with out coming close to damaging the carbon so i can put a regular clear on it. will sanding it out get rid of it?
thanks for the help!

If you take it to a reputable shop, they should be able to sand the clear down removing the candy clear. There should be enough resin that if they do get a little hot that there's room for error before actually going into the weave itself.

And have your kit cleared also just to make sure it is protected.
