help on drift sides
Monday, April 28, 2008 10:39 PM
I just installed my drift side skirts and the quarter panel part on the driver and passenger was to long so i cut into them and reshaped them now they are better they line up with the door and everything. I reattached them and the drivers side fits perfect but the part that lines up with the under body and on the door sill has alot of space in between it how can you get that to fit along the seal i have tried 3M adhesive tape it didn't work and its good kind the kind construction workers and carpenters use. i was thinking maybe if I drilled three small blocks of wood 3x3x2 into the frame and then drilled the sides into the block of wood maybe that will hold. Oh the passenger side is too short it makes the fender pop when the door is open does anyone elses do that.

Thanks in advanced I also checked around and couldn't really find that much help on the install i did try some things others have tried but it never worked or wouldn't work .

so pretty much its sticking up along the door sill? just throw a couple of screws in it to hold it down.

well im afraid if i put in some screws on the part thats sticking over my doorsill that its going to rip the piece that i drilled in because the piece thats over the doorsill isnt that big i'll take some pics tomorrow and post them so you can see what my problem is.

pics would help out a ton. but if nothing else, maybe shave that lip off and glass on another one that fits better. sounds like you can glass well enough if youve already modified the rear of the skirts

screws for the skirts and L brackets for the rear.

search for that and you'll have no problem figuring it out.
